Organic Creatine: Is It Worth Paying More For?

The latest is the word organic stamped across the tub, usually paired with a price that runs 30 to 100 percent above a standard version. Before you pay that premium, it helps to understand what organic can and cannot mean when the product is a single, well defined molecule.

Creatine Is a Molecule, Not a Crop

Creatine is a compound your body already makes from three amino acids: arginine, glycine, and methionine. You produce roughly a gram a day in your liver, kidneys, and pancreas, and you get more from meat and fish. The standard industrial route combines sarcosine and cyanamide under controlled conditions to form creatine, which is then purified and crystallized. So, Is Organic Creatine Worth the Money?
